Style: Sparkling Brut

Aromas of sherbet and citrus abound with hints of grapefruit and tropical notes. Some complexity on the front palate with the tingle of mineral acidity balanced by sweet, stone fruit flavours. The finish is dry and crisp with some textural aspects from the secondary fermentation.

This wine is best removed from the fridge 15 minutes prior to enjoying, ensuring it is at the ultimate 10 degrees serving temperature.

  • About

The Yarra Valley is the eminent sparkling wine region of Australia and our Blanc de Blanc is produced to uphold that reputation.

The grapes for our Blanc de Blanc were picked on the cusp of ripeness, around ten Baumé to allow the citrus crisp flavours to dominate the palate. The essential natural acidity creates a platform for the energetic bead to deliver a mouthful of fresh effervescence.

  • Tasting Note

Gently Sparkling ‘A frizzante wine with soft flavours of strawberry and rose water.’ Brachetto is a north eastern Italian grape variety that has been a favourite since the time of Romans. Only a few vineyards in Australia grow the variety that is like liquid Turkish delight. The sweet flavour of rose water and strawberries fills your senses yet finishing clean and fresh. Soft bubbles, a light sweetness and lower alcohol make this wine the perfect start or finish to any meal. 2019 Vintage Summary Spring started dry and cold with rains coming late. The four weeks from late-Nov to mid-Dec witnessed 7-inches of rain. A godsend in hindsight as we experienced the driest summer on record with less than 2-inches from late-Dec through Feb. This parching added to the heat with the summer being 2.5 degrees hotter than normal. Picking times were early and wines will be full fruited with soft tannin structure.
